AG Fundamentals 1 & 2

Fundamentals 1 & 2 are the foundation for all AntiGravity® Aerial Fitness courses. Although offered separately, they must be taken combined. After the 4-day course, you will be able to teach 3 specific classes to your students right away. This course will open the doors for you to continue your education in either AntiGravity® Aerial Yoga, or AntiGravity® Suspension Fitness as well as any of our Specialty (Secondary) courses.

Duration: 4 days

Minimum Requirements: We do not require any specific certification. You should have a good understanding of the body and be comfortable teaching in front of a class. Flexibility, coordination, core strength are a plus.

AntiGravity Fundamentals 1
  
Discover the power, excitement and pure joy of moving freely in all directions of open space with a proven step-by-step technique created by AntiGravity founder and silk hammock inventor Christopher Harrison.  Learn all you need to know to safely teach a  complete “Decompression Session” class that includes zero-compression inversions. This 2 day foundational course in aerial fitness training is a prerequisite for AG Fundamentals 2 and all other Trainings using the Harrison AntiGravity Hammock.

AntiGravity Fundamentals 2

The discovery expands in this 2 day foundational aerial fitness training course with many more new movement sequences. These new sequences combined with different wraps, inversions & spotting techniques generate 3 solid class designs. Both AG Fundamentals 1 & 2 are required before moving on to AG Aerial Yoga, AG Suspension Fitness and/or any AG Specialty Course on the Harrison AntiGravity Hammock

    - Prior to any AntiGravity Training registration:
    Understand and adhere to all "Contraindications".
    Understand the full participation of all training days is required.
    Understand no guests or video recording are allowed during training.

AG Aerial Yoga 1

Explore the evolution of yoga into 3-dimensional space.   This body/mind/spirit course provides everything you need to instruct a safe and challenging Aerial Yoga class to students of all levels. Every asana, vinyasa sequence, grip/wrap/trap on the Harrison AntiGravity®Hammock is named and taught with clear progressions. Designed by the original creator of the genre, Christopher Harrison, this course allows you to present three distinct, flowing Aerial Yoga classes.

AG Aerial Yoga 2

Embolden your AntiGravity Aerial Yoga knowledge base and discover your own potentials with over 50 challenging new asanas, flying asanas and vinyasa variations on the Harrison AntiGravity® Hammock. Fine-tune your sporting and cueing with enhanced anatomy, kinesiology, bhandas and Sanskrit terminology. Discover ananda (blissful joy) in levitating meditations and increase your own awareness of this ground-breaking new genre of yoga.Designed by the original creator of the genre, Christopher Harrison, this 2 day course allows you to present three new unique advanced Aerial Yoga classes.

AG Suspension Fitness 1

If you liked what you learned in the Fundamentals training and you want to continue your training in Suspension Fitness, this is the course for you!

Get out of the box!  Elevate your workout, burn calories and raise your mood!  Suspension Fitness is the new frontier and Christopher Harrison¹s AntiGravity® performance team (est. 1990) started the trend! Originally approved by the Broadway unions and utilized to flip and fly rock stars, AG Intelligent Aerial Techniques have also been approved by AFAA, ACE, CYQ & Yoga Alliance.  Utilizing the Harrison AntiGravity® Hammock to gain leverage and move freely in all dimensions of open space, classes are designed to be safe, challenging and entertaining. All participants learn to flip in their first class!  In this 2 day course, learn all the different grips/wraps/traps and spotting needed for presenting 3 unique variations of a flying fitness class, including inversions and flips.

Learn new aerial flips, radical stretches and upside down tricks. Teach confidently using clear progressions, special tips and succinct cues while knowing how to incorporate spotting and scanning. Three powerful new lesson plans in this course give you many unique options for challenging yourself and your students

AG Restorative

AntiGravity® Yoga Restorative is the gentle, healing side of Christopher Harrison‚s AntiGravity Yoga. This powerful method focuses the mind through powerful visualizations as it floats the body through a series of gentle gyro-kinetic motions, deeply opening the entire spine, hips, and connective tissues of the body. This technique features full body inversions, alongside various forms of flowing spinal traction. It offers accessibility to students with physical limitations, but is loved by all as a portal into deeper spinal flexibility, and mind/body connection. Taught in a sequential flow to music, the class incorporates levitating meditations, zero-compression inversions, supported sun salutations, joint opening poses, and a floating sivasana. Working from different hammock heights allows for the gentle opening of hips and spine.

AntiGravity® KIDS - JUST KIDS

The AntiGravity® Kids Training is supported by 3 years of beta-testing. Each trainee will receive the skills, and tips to successfully assist in the rewarding path of teaching children. It is a child’s inherent nature to laugh, swing, spin, climb, flip and play. When a child plays the spirit soars. This training provides the tools to share this gift of flight with our future generation

Duration: 4 days

The first 2 days of training, the Water Series, focus on the flexible spine. This series has new poses and sequences with original names designed to engage and delight every child. Age-specific and developmentally appropriate techniques, classes range from 5-10 years old. Provided are template class designs for 10-week sessions. This course is supported and backed by our award-winning AntiGravity Digital Academy (AGDA).
Specifically, you will receive:

10 progressive class designs for 5-6 year olds (for a 10-week progression), and
10 progressive class designs for 7-10 year olds (for a 10-week progression)

Total of 20 class designs

Day 3 and 4: Earth Series is about Inversions and Twists. This series has been carefully crafted to include swinging, spinning, stretching, gripping, and inverting - thereby fine-tuning all the kinesthetic and spatial systems of a child’s body. Clear nomenclature supports brain acuity for the child. Trainees will learn new poses and sequences with verbal cueing, games and teaching tips to challenge any child. AirBarre®

This extensive Aerial Dance Conditioning program is, the newest Aerial Fitness technique to come out of AntiGravity Fitness, Originators of the Suspension Fitness and Aerial Yoga genres.

As an award-winning Broadway Aerial Choreographer who brought the aerial arts to Broadway, Christopher Harrison is proud to announce AntiGravity® AIRbarre. This extensive Aerial Dance Conditioning program is, the newest Aerial Fitness technique to come out of AntiGravity Fitness, Originators of the Suspension Fitness and Aerial Yoga genres. Harrison was assisted in the creation of this exciting new program by Certified AntiGravity Master Instructor Trainer, Lorianne Major.

Dance develops ideal bodylines through the toning and lengthening of muscles, while also developing balance and agility. Recently, new methods of ballet barre training have found their way into fitness studios as participants notice the many benefits of training physical grace. AntiGravity's version, AIRbarre, challenges the body and mind beyond the vertical plane and up into the air!

    When i 'retired' after 15 years of competitive gymnastics, i knew it would be difficult to curb my desire for strength, flexibility and being upside down. i also quickly realised that going without these components day after day was beginning to take its toll on my body; in particular the 7 years of Acrobatic Gymnastics and having other gymnasts standing on or being supported by my body had left a marked effect on my back, shoulders and knees. My cousin suggested i try AntiGravity yoga, as it contains the mix of strength, flexibility and upside down i was so used to. I now do one AGY session and one strength/ tumbling session every week. I find the AGY helps me to increase my flexibility and reduce/ negate some of the wear on my body the the gymnastics causes. It has also helped me improve my posture and balance, as well as help me relax when im stressed about university. Its also great fun!
